1972 Chevrolet El Camino SS Tribute Chevrolet division of General Motors introduced the first El Camino in 1959 in response to Fords Ranchero first offered in 1957. The first generation of both Chevrolet and Ford were trucks based on full size cars. Later generations of both brands were downsized. The 3rd generation El Camino, as offered here, was introduced in 1968 with the final year 1972. This longer, sleeker truck was an instant hit and remains extremely poplular. Our car is a stunning example of the final year 3rd generation El Camino. Tastefully modified and customized, this truck not only looks great but its a blast to drive as well.
